My love for swimsuits started as a child. In the summer my mom would have to bribe me to not sleep in my swimsuit and put my pajamas on. I was always at the pool or the lake as a child and even got named, Tad Pole, by my dad. My love for water and swimming grew into my teenage years when I wore a swimsuit daily as a lifeguard and of course, continued my love for the water at the lake. In my first few years of adulthood, I traded in swimsuits for business suits. I sold custom men’s and women’s business suits for 4.5 years for the number one custom clothier in the world. Once I resigned, I promised myself that I would wear a swimsuit as much as possible. Some would call it the power of manifestation; I would call it the power of goal-setting and dreaming big. Nonetheless, I pursued a career that would allow me to work from my preferred type of suit.

My husband and I travel often for both work and pleasure and I’ve always loved to find unique swimsuits for travels. I found that the unique suits were either insanely priced and took weeks to come in because they were from all over the world OR they were just tiny pieces of fabric, which my 20-year-old self would have loved but my 30-year-old self shied away from.

I decided one evening that I knew the swimsuit industry well and that I was going to use my fashion degree and create my own line.We are now in the very early stages of our brand launch and are super excited to continue to grow. This year, with my manifestation powers and work ethic, you will start to see Il Viaggio in boutiques all over the world.
